The macro is, as usual with yours, outstanding.
Unfortunately the news about my wife is not good. Two drugs have proved to be useless. She is now candidate for an operation the purpose of which is to glue the lung to the chest wall, to prevent accumulation of fluids that had prevented the lung from expanding. After that, a third drug, which we hope, for once, to be effective.
THank you for your comment. That photo was taken when cancer was not even a bad thought.

To bee or not to bee? this one deffinitely bees. A pentax (Asahi slr) was my first camera & accompanied me for many years.
Now I only do digital.
Thank you, Dave, for your comment.

Oh yes, dear Zeynap, the world is watching. You make it watch. I tried the address you sent me but it was rejected & when I tried to give you mine, it was rejected too. I think you might google my name Dr. Rafael Springmann & find my address that way.

An excellent nature-action shot, dear Aylin. I'm glad you received the material I sent you & hope you find it useful. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for your kind comment on my cat.

An impressive series of macros, Dave, each one a hit!
Thank you for your comments & for feelings for the loss of young lives.

Not an easy capture, Dave, keeping both floor & glass-windows well lighted.
Thank you for your comment.

This brings back fond memories, Len. I thank you for that & put is among my favorites. I saw it, or its like, first in 1982, on my way to a convention in Japan & then again in 1996, on my way to a tour of Indonesia. Now, at 79, I am past the age of travel.
Thank you for your comment. Photoshop allows you to do magic with simple photos.

Rafi

My dear, dear friend Heifetz,
I see that you have no new photos posted either. Unfortunately I must tell you that my wife, Rachel, has contracted lung cancer & has to undergo all kinds of chemotherapy. This makes her very weak & me very sad, because the prognosis is not too good. Are you & your G.F. already married?
All my best wishes to you, wherever you are & thanks for thinking of me & commenting on my photo.
Your friend,
Rafi

You are my first UF friend from Albania and that is very exciting. I like the imperfection of the ear you captured, making it all the more interesting, food for thought.
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad my photo made you feel at home.

Hello Jacques,
not heard from you for ages, but then I don't post too many photos these days. Great colors here & joy of life. I would crop a little from the black front. I think it's too empty.
Thank you for your comment.

Gorgious colors, even a bit frightening. I could not completely understand the meaning of your "about." is this the way you think of Europe. What, then, of us, in the Middle East?
Thank you for your comment.

Dear Zeynab,
another clear, strong expression of your liberal views. Today I read your bio (shame on me for not reading it till now!)
Your father's old camera serves you well, but of course it's not the camera that counts but the hands & especially the eyes of the one that uses it so well as you do. In your bio I looked for things you do besides taking photos. Could you tell me something about yourself? your interests? are you a student, perhaps of psychology?
Thank you for your comment. It was scanned from an old photo, taken when I was still young enough to be able to crawl on the ground & take photos from below. I don't think we eat the little ones. The yellow ones I sent you the other day, (Oxalis pes-caparae) can be eaten. They make a somewhat sour soup.
Hoping to hear from you when you're back,
Rafi

Lovely, lively colors, Dave. I had just one like it in my window, the bulb bought in the super. It gave 3-3 flowers for several seasons. Now it's asleep in its pot.
Thanks for your comment.

Dear Zeynab,
I know a little Arbic, but not enough to get along, just to say "thank you" (Shukran) & the like. There is no need to fear me for being an analyst. I don't read other peoples' minds. Like you, I'm not a believer. I like to think of miself as a free- thinker.
So "Salem, good night."

I just added you to my friends' list, so that I suppose I might refer to you as dear Zeynab. Of course Shalom is right, in all it's meanings (peace.) & to you would it be "Salaam Aleic?"
You express a very strong public message & you do it aesthetically without losing its strength.
Thank you for your explicite critique of my photo. I accept your words, although when I saw the picture, my immediate reaction was: "This is as it ought to be."
I'll attemt to follow your words below.
B.T.W, did you know I am a psychoanalyst & share your opinion on equal rights?
Shalom,
Rafi

Thank you for your kind words on my "Safety."

Sweet, Dave, & so well captured! I see you're traveling, not so far from us, just a jump over the sea...
Thank you for your comment. It's a reposting of an old photo, showing my wife Rachel through the looking glass. Unfortunately she's now receiving chemotherapy for lung cancer, having received her 4th dose today. We have been promised (?) that after the 6th dose, in another 45 days, she'll be as good as cured. We hope that's true, but each dose also takes its toll...

Rafi

All the beauty & ancient glory of this great city comes out in your photo, Dave. I've been there several times & tasted my first "frulate" there. Nice silverware to be found there, too.
Thank you for your comment on my photo. I scanned it from an almost forgotten film-photo taken at some time in the 1980's
