Hmm? Not a Photoshop Trick. Just several exposures taken from the same location and of the same subject, and then layered together in Photoshop. Same thing film photographers have been doing for years. I wish my digital camera had a bulb setting so that I could just leave the shutter open longer.

Very nice composition and scene. You're right, we did almost the same thing. I really enjoy shooting IR. Even better is being able to get such cool color tones out of every day scenes. Thanks for sharing this one.

Hmm, how the heck do you post panoramic pictures here? I'm limited to 640x640. Anybody know how to post a pano?

For those who are interested... What I did to tone this is pretty simple, really. The shots as they come out of the camera are very red due to the R72 filter. When I adjust the levels in PS, the flora takes on a whitish cast, and everything else takes on a lighter red color. Then, I use the channel mixer to swap the Red and Blue channels (set blue channel to 0% blue and 100% red, then red channel to 0% red and 100% blue). Sometimes I also will adjust the color balance slightly to get what I am looking for. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comments!

For anyone that is interested, this picture was taken from the North West of Downtown, atop the Trinity River Levee. If you cross the river on Hampton or Continental, take the first right that you can take and you will get to Canada Drive. This road follows the levee. I just parked along the road and climbed to the top fo the levee for this shot.

For some reason, UseFilm really shrank it down.
