Very detailed , nice sharp image ,I have a canon 70-300mm lens and I love it I find that its sharper at the 70 mm setting

Nice work Pete, this time i even like the "Blu-Halos" on the highlights. Normally they would be seen as a disadvantage where the CCD can't cope, but they work well here and to your advantage. Nice picture. Regards Neil

A terrific and unusual macro with incredible color, clarity, composition and DOF. Really amazingly beautiful. I am not quite sure if the circular spot on the left (lens refraction) is a bit distracting or not, or if it might be nice to tone it down (further blur and darken?)or even blend into the surrounding area with some soft cloning. But no matter, this is a wonderful and dramatic image of Nature. Outstanding work, Pete.
