.....just superb, I like the eyebrow effect of the cloud over the illuminated pool and the low angle of light on those sand ripples. . . I aim to achieve this sort of quality [one day] and find shooting Med Format a real challenge and exposure control / exp. evaluation even more so. I am currently practicing this art with a s/h Bronica ERTS . . .I'm looking to join one of your w/shops next year . . . . till then I watch from here and continue to waste some more good film ;)

. . it would make a strong mono shot feel . . with that blue sky toned down, with good hightlight it should work well?

. . just had a look bach through the P F John . . some great stuff in here . . this is one of my favourites, the long exposure makes it so serene! I lie the diagonal line out of the corner and the the strong vertical refelctions and repeats The pano format suits it.

. . Hi Jo . . just been back to check the original file info . . it was shot at f6.3 -1/160 DISO200 - Sigma 10-20 @10mm . . hand held . . . original was shot as RAW I have a File copy Tiff that is 24.7Mb . . which is a lo of information. I guess that helps when reduced to web size. I have sharpened in RAW editor and prior to saving to Tiff also . . .

. . thanks for you time!

. . thanks Gary . . I stood in the surf trying to keep balance and my aim was the light on the shingle . . . I see your point about the crop . . not an easy one to call as I needed 2 -3 stops of grad . . I could have manipulated the cliff to make it lighter but I feel this would have looked false given the variation in contrast on the day . . . .

Hi Jordi . . the image was simply turned to B & W in Photoshop. The sky was a good blue and I had 121m Cokin N D Grad, so not much post processing required. I converted to Grayscale and then reverted back to RGB to adust channels . .

. .thanks for your interest :)
