there must be something about Sony and Carl Zeiss lens. I wonder if i can capture the same colors and essence in my Coolpix 4500, something that can be debated..?? what is unique about this shot is not the sunset, but the fishermen shaking the net.. and the very net itself..

good location.. needs two of either things: total desaturation and present in B&W. or saturated colors..

i would like to know some more details about this shot. this is a well done shot.. the background definately is Adobe PS.. called motion blur.. the angle of blur seems odd.. it should be horizontal.. as the bird is moving forward.. not upwards..

Ingrid.. i just love this location and the misty feel.. I could feel the emotions you have when you were out there. An outstanding image.. Where did you capture this beauty.. just breathtaking.. 7/7 indeed.. and your clever use of blue tones.. which signifies cold and mistyness is well suited..

A great shot.. nice work here.. To answer your question on lamps of life.. yes.. my mother in law lit those lamps to welcome our 2nd one.. who is now 14 days old. I believe the 5 lamps signify as you said.. earth, wind, fire, water and space. I took those lamps after the ceremony to a darker area and photographed it.

you have created a landmark in macro photography using coolpix 4500. Perhaps you should send your images to Nikon.. themselves.. so they can market their product using your images as a reference standard.. good work..

composition is nearly perfect.. and few pointers to make it even more better.. if more of her jeans is visible would be better. If her hand is not cropped it would be better. And if she were to have glanced at your lens briefly... the shot would have been captivating. I love this shot.. but.. you included portion of the jeans.. so you could have cropped it al together.. I like her general pose looking at her hair.. pretty model.. and clever way to use her hair to CLOAK her nipples.. see i used the word..Cloak..

david.. beautifully shot.. i would appreciate if you can give me some tips as how you approach and do your macros.. do you shoot the macros in the sweet yellow spot when you zoom in/out the flower icon turns yellow or beyond it.. i am using an IBM micro drive.. and after each HI image take, i would have to wait for about 5 - 10 seconds.. 7/7
