Amy, great detail, well focussed and exposed. Nice that the deer was facing you. Very cute - well done.

Classic Morgan neck! Beautifully captured, my friend. Simply wonderful. This is so crisp and so sharp...It's just fantastic.

Now, from a critique standpoint...well, not much to say really. I disagree about the background. I don't find it distracting at all. It actually adds a bit to the feel of a farm, if you ask me. The one thing I might consider, and it's just a little thing, is the red brow band on your halter. I'd rather see a horse this beautiful in either a full leather halter with very little adornment, or in a full-on show halter with lots of metal. This one...well, it's not simple enough to avoid being a bit distracting and it's not fancy enough to add to the overall image.

That's about the only critique I could offer. It's a simply wonderful picture of a great looking horse. Very, very well done!

Very cute! The woman is either tickled with her horse's demanding a snack break or she is really in pain riding bareback. =) I love this shot - reminds me of my own horse who thinks he needs a snack every ten steps!

Unlike your previous water color in PS, this one I like VERY much. I think the image/composition lends itself more to the watercolor manipulation more so than the previous attempt.

I would like to see the original, as well, though. Hope you enjoyed the driving comp. It's a whole different world from the saddled events!

The silhouettes are very expressive, the light on the girl face, just this little bit, enhances the coposition a lot
Very well done

Amy.
Muy bella silueta. Aunque con una menor profundidad de campo, hubiese quedado un fondo mas difuso que ayudaria a la foto.
Me gusta la composición.

Nice, but I'm just not a big fan of the PS manipulation. I'd love to see the original!

I understand the need to experiment with the techno stuff, though. Keep up the great work!

Thanks! I had it in my portfolio book to show her trainer, as I knew her trainer, not her or her parents. I showed the parents and they bought it on the spot.

Amy, you've got a talent for capturing the western pleasure events quite well. This rider absolutely screams confidence...great portrait. If you haven't sold this to her parents the they haven't seen it!

Awesome!
