I like how the subject leans into the light, making this quite a revelatory portrait. A tad soft, but otherwise very expertly done.

Just looking at you portfolio. For someone just starting out your work is most excellent. All of your people shots are great. Keep working and we'll see you published soon.

Very good picture, but I think I would've gone for another point of view. Not sure if it would've been better though.

questa foto mi fa venire caldo solo a guardarla... l'espressione del bambino esprime tutto il sole che c'era in quel momento.

the monkey paw is prime subject matter ben. the only thing i would like to see differently is where the arm goes off the page. i believe the composition would be stronger if the arm did not run off the frame at the corner. this "designing to the corners" can be potentially distracting. helping us become better photographers,

Her expression is priceless Ben, a good capture. The lighting does seem a bit harsh though and there is an overall lack of crispness. 7/7 for EA!

You have chosen some nice faces with character. I'd try shooting softer light that is less harsh so your subjects aren't having to squint. Also some do not seem totally in focus. I'd use a tripod or a monopod or a faster shutter speed to help steady your camera. And if you cannot get anything else in focus, make sure the eyes are in full view and sharp.
You're off to a good start, just keep shooting.
All the best!

Very nice photo Ben... why? Simple... I don't remember something like this one so it is original (7 rating) Good focus. Personaly for this small dismance (not so small) I think the focus area can be biger in the photo. Not big deal surely.
