Thanks Robert...yes I'm the same as you. Mainly photograph people as you probably can tell by the majority of my posts here. But once in a while it's fun to shoot nature just for fun! Actually I was there staking out a location for a session this afternoon....so it was still sort of work related.

Great impact but I wonder if you tried to dodge the eyes a bit? They just look a bit unnatural....crazy expression, loads of fun!

well...it is just a big 6 foot Aurora soft box set up horizontally camera right about 4 feet from the subject roughly and angled slightly toward the background. Bottom of the soft box is at about her shoulder hight roughly. Hope that explains it a bit. Thanks for the comments.

Interesting mood. Love the composition and her expression adds to the scene and weather. I love the skin tones but wonder how a black and white version woould further add to the solemn mood going on.
