This is truly creative, Rick - and an interesting experiment (she said filing it away for future consideration).  The macro itself is lovely, beautiful composition and lighting. The new color choice is a good one as well.
Something you might want to try (this is in no way a criticism, but an additional suggestion) is to play with the contrast. When you start with a wonderful photo like this, the variations are endless, and I thank you for the inspiration.

Very good shot, with fine and variegated colors. IMHO this trick of water droplets to prove focus has been abused too much.
