Laurie - well captured / edited. I can't quite put my finger on why I like this so much - most likely the geometry of the reflections in the water. I too would like to see the color version.

P.S. - if you don't like Florida in the summer, you more than likely would hate Ottawa, Canada in the winter! )

San - this is a very interesting photo. Well composed and the sun is the perfect brightness. The object in the foreground is perfect. Congrats! JM

Well done! I can "feel" the textures.

Your portfolio is amazing. Keep it up!

This photo is abstract, modern, simple, colorful, emotional. So many adjectives, so little room to type. Your title is also "perfect". Thanks for posting this!

Thanks Daniel! Actually, the morning light was harsh and I needed a polarizing effect - not having anything "handy" for this camera, I went back to my car, pulled out my sunglasses, and snapped the picture through one of the lenses.

Better than the 2 feet of snow that we still have on the ground :-)

James - stunning does not begin to describe this shot. The lighting is perfect! I agree that this image has a better impact (won out by a slim margin though!).

Thanks Kelly! Our family is off to Jamaica in a week so pics of things other than indoor flowers will be a refreshing distraction. :-)

My guess is a poodle. Clarity of this shot is outstanding. All of the lighting here is really done with shading (because the dog is mostly one color, and the background is grey-white). Well done!

Thanks Dan! I have been a fan of your pictures for a while. I appreciate your sharing your technique for water droplet shots - my kids think that pictures like that are "cool". JM

Thanks for the note, Carla! The title was intentional. Without light, the flower (assuming it grew) would be blanched like a leek or endive. :-)
