Really a nice image but lacking the punch needed to make it a real winner. Either a bit underexposed or taken in harsh light.... Nice compositon and I agree with Jerome a crop at the top by a bit would make it stronger.

If you can burn some detail into the sky, or steal one from another image, this could be very nice. Contrast seems low also.

Very interesting and stimulating perspective with the verticals and the twisted columns. Exposure is well set, we can detect details in almost all areas, like at the end of the way. Somehow, there seems to be a problem of alignement : the lines in the walk, in the foreground, are leading down to the left, while the door entrance is leading down to the right.

Nice picture Rena. In my opinion it could be a great one if you would enhance the different colors on the boats to make them more vivid and really stand out. Cropping just above the tip of the top boat would also probably help concentrate the focus on the boats themselves.

I'm not an expert, but this photo is beautiful considering the reflection. Still, I wonder about the softness of the memorial itself? Is that the scan, which I am starting to learn can cause that, or is it on purpose. Plus it seems to be tilted a little (the photo) But it is a great shot and none of these things take away from that.

Thanks for the comments. I know we photographers generally shy away from centered shots, and perhaps this one would also look good with more sky and less grass. I'm just thankful that the other horses in the area stepped away from this one for a moment and let me take the shot!
