I can understand you very well, Andras! They don't sit where they're told! And then that fear... much the same of the feeling I was talking about as a spectator of your image. And you were the photographer, which means for a special time intervall you *have* to dive into the scene. So... brrrrrrrr! :-)

Cheers,

Nick

Thank you Ali for the detailed comment. You 're right: I should have included her legs but for me (and now) it was more important to get her expression chewing some grass :)
All the best

Excellent details on her face/head and quite a good moment to shoot. The focus gets softer too early though. She should stand in all her glory in the region of DoF and only the background should be softer. Perhaps a narrower aperture?

All the best,

Nick

Yeah.. that's really cool how the background is ur national flag .. First I wanted to say, It might have been better you you included the dogs arms completly in the composition but I'm not sure, as the focus is on the dogs face and the DOF is pretty shallow I guess the composition is good anyway .. Good work Andras .. Take care..aLi

Thank you Nick! It was very hard to get a nice shot of this bastard, it was about 9 p.m. when I took this picture, and the spider was approx. 2 m high on a piece of metal :) And a bit of fear that it can jump right on my head :)
Cheers

Excelent DoF - the most hard thing to get in macros - except for the very front parts of the legs of the spider. The amount of details is simply great. The reduced color palette gives something dreadful/dark that matches very well the quite hard place of the predator in a claustrophobic way the victim might perceive it.

All the best,

Nick
