Great capture. Perfect shutter speed for your panning technique. Lots of room for the horse to run into. Great exposure.

Well seen and well captured. I like how the fast shutter speed stopped the movement of the water, and made for a better reflection.

Very unusual perspective makes for a very interesting shot. I also like the halo effect around the light housing. Looks like a lot of digital noise, though. Was this shot at a high ISO or with a long exposure?

Yiannis, this is a really great capture of a great little dog. I especially like both your vantage point at eye-level, and your filling the frame as you did. The dog is kind of monotone, but not true sepia nor black & white. I've attached a different version where I've brought out the white of the fur a little, then locally sharpened the eyes, and globally sharpened all over. To my eye, it adds just a little snap to what is otherwise still a really good image. Do you agree?

Really interesting subject. What do you think of the crop and color corrections in the image I've attached. To me, the empty space in the foreground detracts from your excellent message.

Great eye! Fantastic composition, but faster shutter speed would have kept the swans sharp. Really well seen and captured.

Interesting shot, with perfect timing. Almost looks like it could be the Mayflower. Great light. Nice framing with the ship in the low spot in the crowd. Light (?) in front of woman in tan shirt to right of center is distracting. Sky is amazing.

Great use of dof, and very good pose and expression on a beautiful model. Nice clean background. The jar on the table is just a little distracting, and the eyes could be sharper (although that might just be from resizing for the web.) Very nicely done.

This image really gives me the feeling of a long, long ride. I like that the trail leads up the mountain, then disappears. The rider is well-placed and leads the eye across and into the photo. I think a little more contrast would help it pop.
Thanks for you comment on my image. Is that a scull, not a kayak?

Excellent action shot. Very well lighted in what must have been a difficult situation. After seeing so many angry-looking musicians, it sure is a pleasure seeing the smiles on those in the foreground and background.

Great composition and great theme. I wonder if it might not be improved with a little brighter whites; maybe opening the highlights with a tweak in Levels? It's a really interesting scene. Well seen.

Great capture, John. You recorded quite a wide range of tones without blowing out the highlights in the fog. Good placement of the road and stripe. I think the car gives a good sense of scale. The white patch at the lower right is a little distracting. Is it sand, or a reflection in a puddle, or...?

Happy 1 year anniversary, Becky. This is a really well-seen and well-composed image. I think you're right that a polarizer would have helped. But a couple slight tweeks in Photoshop really help make it pop, to me. On the version I attached, I deepened the midtones with Levels, sharpened it a little with Unsharp Mask, and added a Gradient with the blend mode to Multiply and the Opacity to 14% to the upper part of the sky. Do you think the changes improve it?
