Excellent photo Kimberly, looking into the cats eyes and you can even see the expert that made the photo possible :-)

Good photo.

Cropping to square and restoration of color lost in the exposure can add to the apeal of the photo.

Going through the PETS category and this one jumped out at me for its intimate details and soft, striking lighting. A very beautiful portrait of your cat...

This is nothing short of powerful. The composition is so solid and captures very powerful emotions. This is simply wonderful.

I like the moment you caught here. Its a sweet photo. My quibble would be with the unfortunate fact that the shadow falls across the boy's face in a bit unappealing way, but this is still a nice capture.

I like the idea here with the unusual angle making the boy even smaller, and the photo more touching. I think it is a pitty the corner of the stone touches the frame though. Also I find the framing of the flowers a bit abrupt.

Julien

Every inch of this photo is beautiful, colors, all.
Very beautiful idea, feeling...
Is the boy your son?
Alwasy to be remembered. I have one of my dear aunt that makes me remember on and on.

Great photograph, Kim.

I like this Kim. As already mentioned the one small nit I see is the OOF front post. Otherwise nice perspective and tone.

Nice pic with good perspective... I'd like to suggest you to make this pic in more diagonal composition and take this pic from higher angle

Great perspective Kim, the sharpness is good also.
Only two small nit-picks, the nearest fence post is a bit out of focus, and the inner border maybe would be better if it were a solid grey. Still a nice photo though.

This is such a cute picture! It's the kind of picture that warms the heart of any cat-owner. I especially love the look on both the cats' faces. I thought perhaps a crop would help emphasize the "look of love" each cat has. I attached a cropped version - I hope you don't mind. My cats hate each other, so I'm quite envious of your sweet kittens *smile*.

A very lovely picture.
Although the critics above are valid, I don't think you can ask the cats to hold the posing for you.
So, I give it two thumbs up! oh, and a big toe too

Hi Kimberly,

This is great - I really like the mischievous and curious expression you got - almost like he's looking into a hole or something, to see what's in there. Great bit of "kid" work I think.

This is such an excellant photograph. Could be a Hallmark card. But I have to agree with another commentor in that perhaps if the shooting angle was to the right of head on the larger cat. Still an exceptional photo as it is though.

Quite cute but you need to find a more interesting angle. Perhaps moving to your left would have helped.

I really like this, the pale colours & clever composition. Its a teeny bit soft, but that doesnt particularly bother me. Nice! H

The title comes across as a bit corny, but the photo itself has a strong impact of shared childhood. They're both looking out (in wonder?) at the field and its possibilities. I'm sure they will have plenty of good times together, and the composition really emphasizes their similar youth. Perhaps a slightly less tight crop, to give more a feeling of opportunity and expansiveness, but having the kitty close to his face is very wonderful.

Hi Kim. I see a vast improvement in your technique here. Very nice choice of tone and nicely balanced and composed. There's just a little oversharpening halo on the insect that can easily be corrected with software. Other than that there's nothing else I'd fault.
