Nice buck image JJ,
I was interested in this close up image because I took one the other day from what looks like a similar distance. I didn't know deer had those super long hairs or lashes on the top and bottom of their eyes. Now I see your deer has them the same as mine visible on the right side of his face. I suppose they must be some kind of protective warning feelers to help prevent eye damage.

I can feel the peace. I would have been tempted to convert this to BW but the subtlest hint of colour definitely adds to the atmosphere.
