Excellent macro work Eric... love the sharp details as well as your choice of b/w tones. OFcourse the 105mm lens produced and amazing DOF in here, I have this lens, really a superb one.

I like the simplicity and tonal range here. I think centering the window works OK in this case because the chimney and window aren't in line

Good question Andy and the answer is yes. I was going for the cloud to appear as smoke from the chimney. Normally I would offset the window but I believe it works here since its not completely centered.

Great light and shade. Was the centering of the window deliberate in order to incorporate what appears to be cloud coming from the chimney? Many would say that you could have taken it a touch more to the right or left. But, I still find myself drawn to it. It's eerie. I like that ;)
