Hi Kasia, thanks for your comment - as for whether it is sharp enough, I really did struggle to get the best out of the D70, I have to say the D80 is a much much better camera and one that seems to cope with the subtle changes in tone and colour. I have printed this out as an A3 size print and I am happy with most of the shot - disappointed though with a green haze that appeared around the tree!

Absolutely! You have captured more than just a portrait. I can feel the joy in this image.
The movement in the hair and the dresses is delightful. I like that the colours are kept to a minimum and I feel blurring the background was a good move, I didn't see the onlookers til after I read your comment and had another look.
The only bit I can be picky about is the halo effect around the arm of the little girl facing us.The blurring seems a little incomplete here.

Hi Joe - Thanks for your comment, I must admit I probably agree with you about the moon... You know what it's like though, you can't stop mucking about once you start! As for the crop, I always liked the contrast in tones left to right.

Very good Chris, I like the lighting on and around the church specially the cemetery. I don't have a problem with your crop. I actually saved the image and took out the moon to see that way and as I suspected, I like it better without the moon. I find the moon too distracting.
