this is great Hans, it really is like two little old ladies catching up on the latest gossip, wonderful detail in the close-up, love the little water droplets.

great Photo Ross, and I don't know if you'll get to the other thread where I answered your question, no Mcon35 just a 7+ close up lens. for the Starling, you caught the sheen on his back so nicely, great colours. Now a Question from me, the Tcon 300, how do you fare carring the beast around it looks like it weighs as much as one of my children LOL.

Thanks and No I used a7+ Macro lens(close-up). my 10+ is on order or I would have been able to get that tail in there too, But I would have had to sacrafice detail in the body to get the tail, with just the 7+. So I will go back and see what I can do when the stronger lens comes in, Again thank you for the kind words everyone.

thanks for the compliment, Robert, there are not many trees because it is the desert, the Joshua tree is an endangered species and does not grow all over the park. this area here is where the rock climbers like to go, so I thought I would try playing around with the DOF in the clouds.

Paul, I agree about the sky, clouds are a personal fasination for me. You DOF is terrific in this, this little glints of sunlight on the water are so sweet and the rocks have such personality. Have you tried cropping the right side to keep out that little bit of humanity (the town or what ever it is)? just a thought. This is a wonderful piece of work!

This is a terrific shot, taking advantage of a slow opener it held my interest, with it's color and it's predicament of being captured half open.
