Molto e ricco colori ed io ama l'angolo che lei ha scelto sparare questo da. Lei fa la fotografia di colore molto buona come pure annerisce e bianco. Non dolente se questo è il vero italiano, ho usato una traduzione.

Strong graphic, colors are rich and it leaves a lot to the imagination -- would make a great "can you guess what this is" contest. You have a good eye for finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Looks like the sun was in just the right spot. And, you should spring for a Holga, it's so much fun. You can impress people by telling them that you were really trying hard to get the shot just right when they don't know it's all a crap shoot with those crummy things. I had a good laugh at your the Wisconsin reference, not many know how cheap we are -- I prefer to call it frugal, nah, it's cheap.

This is a perfect subject for a b/w. It's a little burned out on the top of the angel's head but I don't mind. I like the way you've placed her in the composition, crop is nice. I had a calendar last year that was all stone angels taken in various countries all over the world and this reminds me of that. It could have been shot in Rome.

Very creative, and the title is so appropriate. I like the crop, it works well with the subject. Good use of b/w. I love spider webs and this is a new perspective, great use of IR. I love it!

Looks like a photo that the Sierra Club would publish on one of their calendars. I like the format. Simple colors, red and green, and the stems are the high points. Love the 2 shades of green, adds interest. Simple but very effective composition.

Wow, that's a great camera -- not taking anything away from you and your creative eye, I really should be saying wow, that's a great photographer. I just mean it can really get in there close and hold detail and not increase noise. I really have to get myself a better lens. Beautiful.

This is a keeper, John. I like florals that are taken from unusual angles and this one looks like it is trying to get out of the harsh sun. I especially like the center and the detail you were able to capture there. I like the cropping, too, and the light on the hairs of the green stem in the upper right. Oh, I just thought of something else, I like the bug holes -- makes it look like a real flower, not one from a florist's shop.

Absolutely love it! And, I'm not sure why. Maybe because it portrays a sense of ultimate freedom and abandon. Since you can't see the person's face, you can imagine it is you. Some of the happiest times were when you were a child running in a field without a care in the world. I get the same feeling from this image. The magenta hair is another element of "wish I had the guts to do that". Absolutely love it!

Isn't this just the coolest building? So much white marble. I'm a member and find something new to photograph every time I visit. Hope you were able to get to the Weston and Brandt photo exhibit. This is a nice way to present the main lobby, the lines and values of the white work well as a b/w. I like the people in it, gives it scale and because they are silhouettes they don't detract from the dynamics of the shapes. Shadows and reflections are good too, you must have been there on a sunny day. It's been so dreary here lately but there is hope for the upcoming weekend. The weekend of June 20th is the Lakefront Festival of the Arts, on the front lawn of this wonderful art museum. Please visit again soon.

I just ran across this and think it is stunning -- so bright and cheery. It could have been taken in Holland. The colors are fantastic and the cropping is great. I love the idea of seeing just the flowers, nothing beyond and nothing in the foreground. These great primary colors, together with the pure vibrant greens, really jump off the screen. I bet you got a lot of great pics that day.

This is very much in keeping with THE FROCK. Nice subject for a pinhole, so much more imaginative than the common landscape. 4 hours on the shutter, must be a teeny, tiny pinhole in a dark room. This must bear out some research on my part, you have me fascinated.

If one must have a frock they certainly need a hat to go with it. And they then need to be placed on a bed where the light is streaming from above in to give them emphasis. But subtle emphasis. So subtle that the image should be embedded in something like rice paper. Wait! You have all of that here, and so much more. What creative vision, you have a unique and wonderful portfolio of images.

Another Holga fan! I'm just starting to appreciate what can be achieved with this funny plastic camera with the crappy lens. This is a perfect setting for this toy, lots of contrast and mysterious shadows. Forest settings are the best. Just when I think my Holga pics are a lost cause one shows up that amazes me. I guess 1 out of a roll of 12 isn't bad, the same can be said for any roll of film from any camera I guess. This is a wonderful pic and I look forward to more in this cheap medium format from you.

I just stumbled across this and have to say that it is amazing in its simplicity. The subtle colors take nothing away, they only add impact -- I like it better than if it were b/w. I like the stretch of the flower from left to upper right, gives the photo some movement. Border is nice but I'd lose the title, keep it simple. One of my new favorites.

You have an interesting portfoilio of work, hope to see more soon. this one I find fascinating, it has almost a fantasy otherworld quality to it. Very imaginative. Thanks for your sepia idea on my Mum photo. It's easy to take the Photoshop way out, which is not always bad but there are so many options in digital manipulation that, when explored, end up enhancing, or degrading the original. I'm starting to become somewhat anti-digital and exploring the use of simple (and kind of crappy) cameras and actually making the enlargements in a real darkroom, nothing digital. It's becoming more rewarding than I thought.

I like the softness in this one, it adds to the otherworld feeling, like a dream. Kind of mysterious, maybe like the Outer Limits show - you walk through the door and can never return. Spooky is good, any photo that evokes an emotion is a winner.

I am still smiling about your method of photography. Is this a flatbed scanner? Have you built a big black box to house your creations in so the light doesn't leak into the area being scanned? What an amazing way to shoot macro, and you can control the resolution, so clever. I like the abstract quality of this one, the color, the texture, the flow, everything. Smiling still.

So, let me get this right -- you "shoot" your photos with a scanner? How very creative. I guess the only thing that counts is the end result and you certainly have a portfolio of amazing, creative images. I picked this one out because 1) I love flower pics and 2) this one glows with wonderful lighting. I'm always hesitant to shoot flowers in black and white but when you can get such a nice range of tones, capture such wonderful petal texture and light the composition in such a way as to emulate natural light I say skip the color.

Unlike a lot of photographers who are searching for their style, yours is evident. You boil the scene down to its essence and shoot the importance of the image. You have an eye for color and form, you'd make a good graphic designer.

Beautiful shot from an unlikely angle. I'm always trying to think of new ways to shoot flowers and this is a wonderful idea. Perfect lighting. The detail in the green is great and it is a nice counterpoint to the smoothness of those oh, so red petals. I love anything bright red and this one sure is bright. Love those gerberas, they are simple but very photogenic flowers from their centers to their backsides.

Great lighting creates a glow from within. Nice colors, too but I guess Mother Nature gets the credit for that. You've captured the softness of the petals well. Flower macros can sometimes get too sharp but this one has just the right amount of detail. Nice crop.

You know I like florals John, and this one is a keeper. Isn't it amazing what the camera sees that the everyday eye misses. Love the texture of the petals, the different tones of white, the softness around the outer edge. I'm guessing this is natural light, the best light source. Digital is so much fun and really shines when you use it outdoors. Nice one!

You have a nice portfolio. This one especially caught my eye because it is a little out of the ordinary. Some of the best photos occur by happenstance. You took advantage of something as simple as a shadow and made it special. The ahdow has a 3-D quality that I like and the color of the shot is wonderful. It almost looks like the Eifel Tower. I imagine that this was more interesting than shooting some state representatives.

So many wonderful lines that lead you up and out of the photo. This is intriguing and I have to agree that the colorization is what makes this unique and appealing. It has an art deco feel, not only because of the sign but because of the lines throughout the composition. Crop is right on, too - you need a vertical crop to make this work.
