A polarising filter was used and I like the way it gives depth to the blue of the sky.

I like that - I have just ordered a reversing ring of ebay so this gives me some hope I will be able to get some reasonable macro shots without spending too much.
Is this one cropped much?

I like the idea and especially the reflection.
I think you could improve the photo by straightening the horizon.
