Thanks again Brigitte. It was interesting that just by turning the camera about 20 degrees from the previous shot and waiting 3 minutes there were almost no clouds allowing this shot of the same area.

Wow, this is superb photography... excellent layers in all shades of red! Truly gorgeous and I would be surprised if this doesn't get an award! In my favs it goes.

Thanks Rahi & Hakan for your kind comments. This is a beautiful area to shoot and that mist rising from the days rain made the sunlight very intense. 5 minutes before and after this shot and there wasn't much there to see.

Again thanks Dave. Something of a tough subject as the contrast between the deep reds/oranges in the flower contrast so much with the light pink petals. Larger shots of the whole flower didn't turn out as well.

It sure was Gary, Thanks for the nice comments. I had never seen a sky so intense as that evening. Almost pitch black on one side of the boat with a very intense lighting show and this sunset at the trailing edge of the storm front. It was sorta funny to as many P&S shooters were trying to get shots of the lighting and the flashes were going off like crazy!

Great shot, Peter! Very intense colours with the waves in the foreground still being visible makes for a dramatic shot. Must have been quite the ride! Cheers, Gary
