Wow! great photo here. Red dress series I think is going to be a show stopper. Keep them coming.

This is really good. The focus is on target, yet somewhat soft for a glow effect.

Thanks, Laurie. It was the product of simply waiting and watching.

Thanks Judi. It was a good photo made into a better image with a bit of good advice.

It is only because I think you have a wonderful compositional style. I can't work people like you do. I have a huge box of negatives here and a HD full of so-so people images that I continue to dissect. I look at your work because it is good!

It's not a monster, Isaac. Have any hand tools that you use versus a power drill or screwdriver? Similar principle. I often strip the head when I use the motorized drill, especially the cordless drill. We can take too much for granted with digital so we get sloppy and omit steps or skip them because we can CHIMP. I think that your digital can become your friend when used appropriately. Just because it is easier does not make it better! I have been through a similar move with my A2, but I find I really slow down when I have a film body and even more when I load slide film because of the diminished error latitude. Keep shooting either way. This one is really quite good!

Exactly as I saw it yesterday. Bright sun pouring in through the northern window and all the stuffed animals sitting on the ledge. I thought of the current project and shot 7 frames with this one resulting as best from the bracketing.

Excellent architectural image. The composition itself is great, but add the subtle tones and it is absolutely wonderful. The curving and graceful lines complete the image.

This is who he is, Isaac. Nothing is going to change that. You managed to capture that essence. Sharp, well-defined, excellent DOF. Slight shadow under his chin, but it does not detract from the powerful imagery. Does he like it?

You know, Judi, photography is a glimpse into the inner world of others when we shoot people. This is a great image that gives the viewer an opportunity to know your son's reality. I think this is a magnificent capture of something glorious revealed. Thanks for sharing!

i think the DOF in this one is spot on. I like the tone and the pearls and the tight crop...winner!

This is definitely quality work, Isaac. Slightly soft focus, the angle of her arm in the frame that creates a frame for the diagonal, the colors she is wearing, the lighting - all excellent. Share some more!

Isaac, my friend, have been wondering what you have been up to. Glad you clarified on this one. I like the bright hazy spot and the soft focus. Getting that flash under control, are we? Luke

Claudio, this is a great family-style snapshot, and the girls are cute, but it needs some help. the flash is too strong (foreheads) and the background needs some work. Since you were using that great lens how about moving the angle so there is some distortion and turn off the flash since it is pretty fast.

the previous comment i wrote seems to have disappeared. Maybe Kelly can tell us where it is! Anyway, love the bold colors and the strong pose in the image. Like the placement of the subject to far left and the bifurcated angled complementing colors. And it is just a really nice image. Your friend has done well Grasshopper. More of this series, please.

Really nice b/w image. There is not a hint of a need for color here. Well done. The sleeve on the top frames her face and creates separation from the background making her leap away from the simple background. Thanks for sharing this one!

Very, very nice. Know what I like most? That you captured this lovely visage with a film camera. Image is really sharp and that adds to the overall attractiveness of the image. I like that background and the DOF really works well here. Color saturation is excellent.

Hey, Mario. Are they intentionally leaning to the left in this image? Are is that just a fluke? Is this a statement about the abrogations of freedoms we are experiencing in civilization? I like it. Nice sharp clean frame yet no one individual standing out more than the other.

Women and machinery. A real winner here. Satin and sawdust are a good combination, like the red of the dress and the yellow of the heavy machinery make a good combination. Seems your friend has an eye for good composition. Luke - Model is quite attractive as well.

it is simply exquisitely beautiful. are we not blessed to be able to have these lovely flowers share their glory with us? the image is crystal clear and sharp. nice details in the stamen! good composition with the flower pointing out of the frame. makes you stop and look and perhaps appreciate the gifts we have.
