absolutely wonderful Evaristo. Nice lighting and no harsh reflections from the skin. Great DOF and a brash and fresh pose.

Who is the mysterious Ana? Very nicely lit to convey the cosmopolitan nature of which you speak. She could be Mona Lisa as well; nearly smiling. Luke

Tony, well exposed and executed image. Good eyes to have seen it in the first place. Feliz Navidad, amigo. Luke

Perfect diagonal, Paul...drab color though. I guess that plane becomes all the focal point we need. Where it is going to and where perhaps coming from. Luke - Happy Holidays!

This well-exposed Santa does not look happy with his photographer. He must know something about the tricks you used to light him up like a Christmas tree. Good work. Make him smile next time.

i think the darkness adds an emotional weightedness to the Watching and Waiting. I can begin to ask myself what it is she is waiting for, or perhaps who she is watching for. Her sinister lover/spouse; a detail from the arnmed services to tell her of the death/injury of a loved one. The diminished lighting and details in her clothing are clues to something that we may need to simply wait and watch for further explanation. She is not going to share this with us.

it does feel like an entrance to The Twilight Zone. A place where the normal is not. Up may be up or down or sideways. I think it is the magnificent shadows you have created.

fantastic color, Thilo. I do not understand the disorienting composition though. It makes me nauseous as I feel off kilter. good details in the brick work! Luke

excellent, Claude. I know at the visceral level that it is pleasing to me. I have not yet found the words that adequately explain my reaction here. Luke

Mysterious, althougn not in a frightening way. She has a look of intrigue and detachment. And I think the somber lighting is magnificent.

you have captured the delicate fragility of life here. we all have our time to flower and it passes for all of us. we can still retain beauty but it is a transcendental beauty that has to emanate from within. the translucent lighting and the composition are wonderful here. Thanks!

The wonderful lighting and the sweeping view told me this was yours long before the thumbnail finished loading. Excellent work! Great color and highly emotive imagery. Peacefulness is what comes to mind. Simplicity and appreciation for that simplicity. Luke

Excellent, Claude. Great B/W tones. You have created another mood shot with just enough face shown to allow us to see her, but not enough to give us too much information. Luke

Thilo, I am a child protection social worker. Many of the infants that I work with are either born with cocaine/crystal methampethamine in their wee bodies or they are born addicted to alcohol or some other controlled substance. We give the parents a case plan with specific corrections to address the deficits such as chemical dependency, domestic abuse, inadequate education, psychological/mental health problems and developmental disabilities. This little princess was one of the cocaine positive babies. We may not know for many years the extent of the delays she may experience in her life. No fault of her own, but all too often lately we end up terminating the parent's rights because they choose the drugs/lifetyle/relationships over their children. This little princess is a reminder of how important children are. Luke Thanks for the comments.

excellent and powerful abstract with that remarkable strong diagonal and the holes, lines and great negative space that work well to create additional tension.

inscrutably diabolic looking. mesmerizing. intense. these adjectives only brush the surface of the emotion this image stirs within me. brilliant crop to minimize facial expression and context within the photo. the hair across the eyes makes it more sinister in appearance. excellent creative effort.
