It escapes description, that's for sure. But I like the way it's composed, with the theme being shadows and light.

Very nice composition particularly when monochromatic. The soft tones of gray let one pleasantly appreciate the symmetry and the lines. Excellent.

Hi Luke,

this image has something - something extraordinary special. The shades of grey rock IMHO. this is reduction to the max. something rarely seen these days. about the flecks: well, my brain thinks: sweep them away... Just my humble opinion.

anyway, this image is a fine piece of photography.

best wishes,
Thilo

Interesting play with light. I am drawn to the light on the lamp shade (if that is what it is)in the upper right. Nice photo.

You thinking about warmer days Luke? Nice sharp detail. The lighting is just right to bring out the texture of the leather.

Boing, boing. Spring is in the air already? I think we'll have to wait a while, trying not to freeze in the meantime. I hope your child feels better very soon.

Hi Luke,

that's a great find! I like the abstract look here with the black & white outcome and the focus on the rings. I'm thinking about the upper part and the perfect way to end (or start?) the picture...

I think you did well.

best wishes,
Thilo

I love this photo! Would you like to allow us the use of it for our banquet book this year? It's our 20th annual fund-raising dinner banquet, we have program books we give to all of our guests, about 600. You'll get credit on the page it the photo is on..and a copy of the banquet book once printed. We did this last year and about 20 usefilm.com members participated.

We are a pregnancy support center. Just let me know!
Thanks,
Linda

What a great title and a great picture too. People in your occupation should be the highest paid and the most respected of anyone in our society. I don't know how you do it, but I'm grateful that you do.

Thilo, I am a child protection social worker. Many of the infants that I work with are either born with cocaine/crystal methampethamine in their wee bodies or they are born addicted to alcohol or some other controlled substance. We give the parents a case plan with specific corrections to address the deficits such as chemical dependency, domestic abuse, inadequate education, psychological/mental health problems and developmental disabilities. This little princess was one of the cocaine positive babies. We may not know for many years the extent of the delays she may experience in her life. No fault of her own, but all too often lately we end up terminating the parent's rights because they choose the drugs/lifetyle/relationships over their children. This little princess is a reminder of how important children are. Luke Thanks for the comments.

Hi Luke,

although I haven't really understand the about, it seems that the little princess is curious about the world around. It's great to capture these moments. This is the time where we are really curious.

best wishes,
Thilo
