Marion...this is classic you. Abstract almost in presentation, but so beautifully lit and so wonderfully composed. I think it is the intentional limited DOF that makes it so soft and so enticingly beautiful. Best regards!

Youth in contrast to the faded wood. Her soft lines and shape in contrast to the angular building and her complexity in contrast to the simplicity of the form around her. It helps that she is stunningly attractive.

Mary, not having to worry about lighting and exp compensation gave me the freedom to "see the scene". I knew I was going to expose for the shadow areas. Certain amount of freedom comes with practice. Thanks! Oh, am I ever glad I had the camera!

Chris, even with the fading light I was able to find something else in the midst of the beauty to compositionally enhance this photograph. It may have been my tranquil state. Intentionality is a good thing. Thanks!

i can't even afford the tires on that Lotus. What beautiful curves? What minimalist styling. So very different for an exoticar. :Luke

No flash allowed during actual ceremony. I had to choose between the 70-210 f/4 and the 28-70 f/2.8. I went for the reach instead. It was one of those learning moments. I was not paid for the ceremony images, anyway. I only took the formals following the ceremony. I did re-enact the Broom shot with studio flash.

good use of perspective and DOF to create something you could see that could be shared. the blur implies that one could not be certain initially of the danger, but it becomes apparent (to me).

You captured the anxiety that now grips our nation. Fear for self; fear for children. A new way of life. Innocence lost!

Absolutley perfect. Maintains the sense of demureness yet still quite intimate. Great lighting Marta.

What is the sweetest taboo? As usual beautiful light nicely complementing a beautiful model. Maybe the models are so beautiful because of the way in which you capture them! Regardless, excellent work!

Nice contrast to the angles and gentle curve. Interesting color block. Bold presentation. The shrub is too OOF for my taste!

I like the color blocks and shapes. I like the natural element juxtaposed in with the man made. I like slightly off kilter angle of the red and the lack of a base on the tree(?). I can see doing this many times. I have one myself that I can hardly wait for the right light and time. Keep shooting!

very well done, right down to the grass (natural element) in the photo. will the grafittos win this war? is there art in the grafitti? i think we all live in world in which all struggle to define themselves. this is one example well captured!

i agree that the contrast and saturation could use a boost since there is such an overcast sky. the crop suggested might work, but it is not crucial to the composition. I like your framing over all, but would cut out half the sky...maybe midway between the dark cloud and the plain sky.

Anne, I love the composition. I love the angle of the upright and the struts. I love the blue sky behind and around your abstraction. Your upload is a bit on the grainy side. I am betting a print would be much more pleasing. Nice work!

a beautiful child. nicely composed. i think a bit for DOF so her face would not be soft in focus. the bandana is where it is sharpest.

kind of a surprise that a nice abstract image like this does not have more comments. tell you what i like - the eyelashes are in focus. the smooth consistency of the skin. wish it had slightly more DOF for my eyes to follow. as it is now, the wander around the frame unsure where to stop.
