Thanks for the critique. Unusual day, with a untypical desert rain shower just after taking this image.

duncan - this one looks like a 1950s photo, with the colors so washed out in the desert air. i wish i was there to breathe it in. gorgeous walls - excellent shot!

Love this also Dunc...

I agree on the sepia... It evokes a bigger emotional and visual response... Details are more interesting and the brain searches for all the information...

All the different textures and tones here are wonderful...

Certainly would make for a hair pulling puzzle... ~~GRIN~~...

SaRaH......

What a thought provoking and interesting critique. I suppose whenever we see this type of beauty in nature, we are inspired to reaffirm our beliefs in higher powers of creation.

Thank you,

What a spectacular scene! Good for u for having opportunity to visit there. All of the elements which you've framed so well, tend to upside.. It's full of thoughts: growth (the only purpose of life), strength.. also some concepts of divinity.. I like the feeling so much..
Thank you for visitin my portfolio..

Jessie

Thank you once again for your critique.

I am always impressed with the structures of the past, as they hold so much history and are full of so much culture and soul.

As a son of a Civil Engineer, I perhaps was influenced by a Father's love for man made things, and the uniqueness of structures from either the past or the present.

Thank you for your critique.

I have turned to sepia tones more often when the black and white or color image lacks the hidden character of the subject.
