What a contrast of colours and images there, Gregory! Blue sky, heavy cloud and the beautiful sunset colour, complete with silhouetted trees!
You've got it all!

If you had not have mentioned the lens flare, I would never have noticed! This is really something - I am not sure how much thought you put into this particular shot, but in monochrome it stands far above your other similar images. I ask about your intentions because it looks like you put a lot of thought into the various zones of the frame and pulled it off well.

I like this, I like this a lot. I am in the market for a D70 / D100 and people like you are hitting the nail on the head.

This is a great shot - but (don't you hate how there's always a but) I think you would have benifited wonderfully if you used a slower ISO speed - you have not given any settings, but I am giessing around 400 - 800? I have recently completed a film based assignment for my uni course (using Ilford DXN 50 and Kodak P3200) and the resutls were amazing!

I find that for shots like this it is tricky to chose between course and fine ISO settings, but I have also found that for facial tones, the lower the ISO, the better. you pick up so much more detail and produce a much smoother image.

That said, I love this shot and although i may have changed it slightly, i think you have pulled this off very well. And you are right - she is beautiful.
