Nice view! I don't think I've seen a photo of Niagara Falls with so much...falls...included. The foreground gives a good perspective to the depth of the falls. Well done!

Beautiful lady, sorry to hear of your loss. Sudden loses are the hardest, and especially at such a young age. We are all here for such a short amount of time, preparing for what God has in store for us in eternity. God bless you and your family.

No comments on this one either huh? Well, I really like it and the DOF on it. THe expression is a neat one too. The chain in his hand is a little distracting and it is too bad he isn't smiling, but it is still a nice shot.

The rule of thumb for movement in a photo is to have the object moving into the frame and leave room in front of it to move into. When something is heading out of a frame like this, it seems crowded up against the side of the image. The waves are really nice. I would like to see them a little more on the diagonal to add some dynamics (is that the word I'm looking for?) to the photo. I know this is difficult to do while getting a bird to cooperate.

Thank you Keith. I just got a new scanner for Christmas and tried out scanning from the negative. I will try to scan it again and crop the photo as well. I appreciate it.

Ignoring the quality of the scan this is quite a nice shot. I would recommend the horizon be repositioned at either 1/3 or 2/3 up the shot though. Try another crop and see the difference.

My wife and I both like this a lot. The colors surrounding the King of beasts are very nice. It would be helpful if the foreground rocks did not block so much of him...just a thought. Nice shot!

The only real way to avoid reflections is to use a large rubber lenshood and press that against the glass. But with the thick glass in these aquarium walls, you might still get reflections off the inside of the glass.

Beautiful colours and lovely composition, Nicholle. The only thing that spoils it for me is that the horizon is not level. I sympathise, because I have the same problem myself and know the dificulty. Still, it's a beautiful sunset.

Thank you Kim. My dog is like yours. Although he is starting to 'pose' for me, it doesn't last very long, especially if we are outdoors! He is a hunter. I will try using the flash next time. Have a good day.

A cute photo.. I've seen my goldens trying out the same thing... I like the light on the face, making the eye glow, but some light on the other side would be really great... either by using a flash to fill in the shadows, or by bouncing the light back. Now, I know I can tell you this, but when it comes to the time to take your dog's photo it can all go out the window, as your dog, if it's anything like mine, will not hold still while I adjust lights and hold up reflector board! But, if at all possible, keep those in mind! I really like the framing here, as it keeps your dog and the water bottle as the central focus.
