Alex, maybe try to get the lighting so that you have more reflection off the coins - add a little "spark".
I'd personally prefer the framing to have the subjects up and top the right.
Hey, here's a thought, could have called it "coinversation" instead of "discussion"
I did a similar few shots of a British penny or 5 pence (I forget) on a wooden surface - could post it somewhere if you'd like (post a comment in reply if you'd like to see it)

Kim, I'd personally prefer slightly different lighting. Maybe from above front right?

Don't know Koen. I like the centre composition of the buckles. The positioning and texture of the yellow belts does the rest. Jackie, maybe a slightly different hue of blue background or a totally different background colour may make a positive change?

I think the advice in the 1st two comments is good, but, getting back to the shot: the composition could be improved by not using the full, centre framing. Sharpness would help. Is the fuzziness intentional, from handholding or from resaving as low quality JPG?

The perspective you chose is spot on! Great colors and sharpness make this a standout shot.

I agree with Lee. Without detracting from this shot, how about trying to get the lines of perspective to converge a little more?
