Here is an example of a last quarter moon from July of 2001.

Hoi Wietse,

Perfect! Wat een heel goede foto! De diagonaal is fantastisch! Zo'n simpele foto, maar hoe moeilijk te verwezenlijken! Well done!

Very nice for a shot of the full moon. A full moon is a low contrast target, since it is basically directly lit by the sun. Try this same shot near the quarter moon and you will see much detail along the lunar terminator (line between day and night). There will be more going on with the play between light and shadow.

This is nice. I like the position of the plane and the colors and sharness. Maybe the right wingtip shouldn't be cut off?

Heh...aside from the appearance of genes, it looks like you laid the camera on the floor and took the picture while sitting on the toilet. Good self-pic, though...you look happy. Thanks for posting. I always like to have a face with a name.

Although the heat trails were really cool on Cloudy Arrival Pt 1, I think I like this one better. The lighting is dramatic and the sky-line is "clean". In the other shot, there were lightpoles poking out of the top of the plane which disrupted the sleek lines. Unavoidable, I know, but it does what it does. The other thing I like about this is that you see the face of the plane, which always animates these vehicles for me.

Lucas,

Just shot from alongside the runway, there are a lot of areas you can photograph from. side-on would be about 70mm here...

Greetings,
What a wonderful photo! Where were you when you took the shot? In the terminal? At an FBO? Other plane? As a pilot, I LOVE these shots..wish I could get more shots like that. Keep it up!
