Beautiful bird!! I can't believe the detail in the feathers and the color around the eyes...this is absolutely one amazing picture. If you could develop a collection of shots this good you'd have NO problem selling to magazines or stock companies.

Fantastic!

Ganeshwar - very pretty indeed. Good macro, love the light coming through the petals. DOF is good too! I love this type of photo, although my husband refers to them as "those flower snaps". I would have liked to see a fly or bee on this one - were there any? Amy

Wonderful Photograph Ganeshwar, Great colors, clarity and Composition.

Thanks for sharing?

Some look at their glass as half full and some as half empty. Maybe you should just look at your glass. It may be TWICE as big as you NEED, if so, your glass is FULL all the time.

Good shot of this egret. Colors and lighting are excellent. We have birds here in Texas that are called cattle egrets also, those here are almost pure white.

Thanks Marcus. You are correct. Night herons are a bit blue in color. Other than that, they look similar to these egrets in physical features.

Thanks Amy. It was a delight to see this bird perched so close to the road. Since I always have my long lens on my camera as default, it was easy to get this photo before (s)he flew away, which (s)he did.

Thanks John. It was an overcast day. A perfect day for bird photography, with no harsh light/shadows to blow out exposures, especially with whites as here.

Thanks K. This was shot through passenger window of my car. The bird was about 20 feet away and would have spooked if I had gotten out.
