Great classic look. Old style, but with the modern introduction of the sippy-cup! Nice sense of movement (do children ever sit perfectly still???), and the poem on the plaque makes me feel a little sad. Love that we can see the white of her eye.

Do you remember the film "The Red Balloon?" I watched that film so many times when I was a child, and always cried. Balloons conjure up all kinds of thoughts. I like this very much, Luisa. Gayle

Gives me a strange feeling - as though this couple had been kept in this box for years and years - and have been forgotten until now.

Hi, Branimir! Well, I tried to convert it as you suggested, but the peaches don't show up very well, probably because the plastic bag covers up the textures. Admittedly I'm not the best with b&w, though...
Thanks for the suggestion! Gayle

Marija, you think everything is romantic! )) Just teasing. I'm glad you like it.
Yes, I've been using my Nikon, but I'm not confident with it yet. I've been bracketing every shot until I learn what works best with the camera. I'm a little disappointed so far, but I'm sure it's my own fault. It took me quite awhile to figure out the Lumix too. Oh, and my meter (the display) doesn't seem to work! I hope I don't have to send it back.

Was this originally for the bike challenge? lol Love the blur, the strong lines, and the primary colors. A brave crop, young lady! And a good title, which seems to fit very well.

Hee hee! I've gotten in trouble for doing that too, and I know what you mean about the shutter being soooo loud! That's our guilty consciences speaking...
I'm glad you risked everything to show us this one. Incredible detail, and the colors are so uhhh, colorful? lol My compliments to you, and even more compliments to the artist! Gayle

I have trouble getting good sharpness in close-ups too, Carlen, so I can't help you. Someone who is very good at it told me to hold the shutter down even after you've clicked it, among other things. Like you, I'm getting better, but I've still not mastered it.
Still...nothing wrong with this one, despite the softness. The colors and forms are very nice, and I enjoy looking at it, and that's all I care about.
Take care! Gayle
