Can I use this image and the other one for my Corridor series? I ran out of images :-) Just kidding.
Your image does convey a feeling of historical importance, the sepia finish, the composition. All very well presented. Is this in the White House?

you're very welcome,..it was very tricky that day because I took this during 'lunch break' downtown DC.
I was trying to have a capture of 'emptiness / old-times 'while lotsa people were here and there.
This is the only ONE.

Hi Meigy,
Love the detail on the roof and your choice of tone. My only comment is that it would have been good to have captured the bottom part and some of the floor. It gives these arcs 'completeness'. What I do for situations where my lens can't cover the whole image is a I take two shots, one for top and another for bottom and just stitch together.
But if there are people, you need to be very quick.

I like your perspective on this shot. The choice of sepia is also very good.
You'll notice I also posted a collection of corridors, I just find these appealing.

Perfect clarity in the photo, especially in the geometric pattern above...This is wonderfully composed with a great perspective...There is nice depth as well provided by the shrinking arches and broken up lines formed by the lamps...Great capture!!
