I enjoy your photographs so much jacques. We have had the good pleasure of visiting many of the same splendid locations in recent years. Your shots help me re-live those special sights by providing different perspectives of similar shots that I've taken. AND you are also blessed with such a gorgeous model/travelling companion such as Helene. Thank you (and her!)for sharing such beauty! Best regards, -john

I think this shot would look outstanding -without the hooded sweatshirt! The light and resulting skin tones are absolutely gorgeous with the eye and hair colors. I think the pink perhaps is too much. Beautiful model, well posed. Nice job -john

Very nice city shot! Beautiful choice for monochromatic presentation. I love the city in b&w, and seldom see it presented -john

Nice work Anson, the monochromatic presentation gives this location an entirely different (ethereal)feel, (don't be afraid to experiment with your contrast settings too!) I've had interesting results by ratchetting up the whites and deepening the blacks. A polarizer can be a great tool in infrared, especially partly cloudy sky days! -john

I'm sure you'll receive much more useful information from others about the area, from my week long visit I can offer must-sees of Mt. Rainier National Park, Mt. St. Helen's, North Cascades NP (Diablo Lake) and of course I reason for my trip...Olympic National Park where you can visit the Pacific coastal shore (La Push area/Rialto Beach)the temperate Hoh Rainforest and alpine Hurricane Ridge region within the same afternoon! I recommend the Port Angeles area for home base if taking in Olympic NP, the peninsula population (and it's services) is....sparse at best. Tacoma for points south, Seattle if you need busy. The Public Market of Seattle is a must-see! And the people are nice, so enjoy yourself Viking!!! I expect to see lots of photographs when you get back...-john

This vignette was indeed unintentional, due to the focal length of the lens (sometimes it looks "okay", most of the time I find it annoying) it happens when I get wrapped up in image composition and don't pay attention (the older I get, the worse I find my multi-tasking skill ability!)LOL There's something about historical cemeteries and french technology now isn't there Dave???

Ummm, thanks for the idea Dave, that's a good one! Schooled in "traditional" techniques, my biggest challenge, I find, is carrying my creative side outside "the box"! Good to have you around my friend! Best regards, John

After playing with infrared color and b&w off and on over the past 30 years, I can assure you the only constant in I/R photography is "inconsistency" LOL. It's great fun though, and that's why we do it afterall! Think outside the box! -john

Very nice false color i/r piece, a great location for this moody landscape shot. Nice job with i/r experimentation series. Love to see more (try boosting contrast and convertion to b&w i/r, it's a nice combo with this historical setting!)-john
