Eye-catching foreground, John, agree a little more saturation and or contrast would make it pop. I'll be catching up over the next few days, looking forward to all your new shots.

Hi John,

I love this photo. It is very striking.
I can't tell what it is that is so striking,
the color, the light, the texture, maybe all of the above. Great shot.

There's something about the understated colours and tones of this landscape, John, that really help to enhance its graphic qualities. The forms, lines and textures of the rocks are particularly striking elements.

Love the texture in the foreground rocks. Not one of my favorites of yours, but very good and interesting, nonetheless, John.:)

Hi Jon,

Interesting shot. I like it.Judging by the thumbnail I would never have guessed that this is at the sea. It looks more like a giant granite boulder. The huge rock foreground certainly gives it an interesting touch. Perhaps a bit undersaturated(in my humble opinion). All in all however, very pleasant to look at. Well Done!

Cheers,
Stef

Slow shutter created a mystical feel to an otherwise ordinary shot. Creatively done.

It's wonderful how the eye is led from the pole into the light, so that you have been through the hole picture....What a range of colour !!!!You look at the picture and you discover different moods in it!...I will not remember the reflection, composition, light....
All the best!

Wonderful moody/tranquil panoramic pic!! Super crop, excellent composition/position of the horizon... for adding more sky would either 'spoil' the dimensions (for me anyway) or would exclude the total/base of the pole on the left which you were very clever to 'get in there'. Great tones and reflections and the birds are an added bonus... well done!!!!

Very nice capture John, I like the composition and the clarity in here, nicely done,
The only thing is that I would've liked to see more of the sky/clouds, this is of course my humble onpinion and doesn't mean by any chance it is not wonderful,
Cheers,
