. . just had a look bach through the P F John . . some great stuff in here . . this is one of my favourites, the long exposure makes it so serene! I lie the diagonal line out of the corner and the the strong vertical refelctions and repeats The pano format suits it.

there is a very high and appealing contrast between blue and black...
it's like a screaming blue in darkness...
and that smile is very harmonic with that composition...
having a positive object in that negative space is quite impressive...specifically with this framing... that much of space on the top of his head is quite professional and well-decided...
and his figure n that black background is absolutely sparkling to my eyes...
Very well done...
I love it!

This is very well done. I like the expression and pose . . . very natural. As it is a CC image I feel compelled to point out the distracting area behind the left shoulder . . . Otherwise, spot-on!

On a second look I would recommend better feathering on the post work . . . the delineation seems too extreme.

I agree with that last comment. The eyes anchor the composition nicely but the lip pursing is slightly distracting. Overall - Very nice work.

I love the portrait, it is beautifully taken with excellent lighting. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the blurry left arm, maybe cropping to the hair level would be better. Alison
