Hi Laura, thanks for your comment. The 18-70 has a macro function which allows you to get very close. Having said that you've now made me doubt the original information. It could have been taken with my Nikon 60mm macros lens. The image is archived so without delving into my backups I can't say for sure. It was not taken with a teleconverter or extension rings though.

Hi Paul,

This is a great macro. Great sharpness and I like the shadow and disolve in the lower right corner.

Did you use any entension rings or a teleconverter? I noticed that your lens only extends to 70mm (just curious).

Hi Paul,

I prefer this one. It's a great (and unexpected) choice for monochrome. I like the compostion, and the contract between the perfectly still branch, and the driving force of the water.
