Yes, there are strong shadows from the flash but it was also basically dark out so no other way I was catching them! Being I have never seen this before I wanted to get the shot! Really funny to see them!

Nice shot, lovely colours. (strong shadows from the flash).
I had some trouble with the pair I found because their black bodies blended too well with the dark rich pairie earth.

Really like them together in that shape- and each looking different ways! The colours and patterns of them. Lovely to see them perched on those little branches. I can almost hear them singing Elizabeth!

It was really cold that night. I wish the picture could have portrayed that. Been cold for awhile. Today is one of the first that it is not absolutely freezing! Thanks for the comment!
