Thanks for you comment, its a half dome because the other half of the dome broke off sometime long ago... the whole valley was carved by glaciers. Also, the name of the mountain is 'half dome.' I hope that answers your question,

Im certain we were propping our cameras on the same display case! Its such a nice place to visit... I really liked the calamari from this small shop on the pier, i don't remember the name of it however...

its a fun shot... i know you must have this truck in 20 different positions and chose the best one to display... I think the only drawback to digital is all the good shots that aren't shown...

Thanks for the comment Brigitte, I didn't see the Stone Mother, but I plan on visiting there again soon... Im now living in Reno and its only a short drive away...
I heard there is a geyser somwhere on the lake as well, which I hope to find...
