Thank you Dave, for helping us remember. In the War of Independence (1948-9) we lost 1% of our population at that time. Nevertheless and despite everything, more people die here from road accidents than from any other external cause. I love your white lilies. They're very seriously elegant, as becomes your topic.

My husband was a vietnam vet so it's nice to see all the tributes here today. These lillies look like guards watching over us all. Lovely iamge. Thank you Dave.
