I really really like this, but I want to crop a little off the top... like to the second set of windows on the gray building (stage left).

It's an interesting peek over the wall into the clean, uncluttered but rather soulless E.German side from the untidy jumble of graffiti on the W.German side. The cyclist pressing on regardless is a nice touch.

Wow, Paul, I didn't know that. We'll have to talk about that someday. Was it military? I had a friend over there a year or 2 later than that I think. He was in the military and said he was SO scared that everyday word was gonna down to pack up and move on out to Vietnam. He really couldn't even enjoy R and R weekends....... What a shame.....

Yes, indeed. what a memorable site, Mark. I lived in Berlin (66 '69) and what you say is true. If NO one challenges the government's version of truth (everything is going well; move along) then a democracy fails to be. And guess what? It sure won't appear on the front pages, becuase those are already being used to distract us to the shiny things from the important things.

Free vs. "non-free" (surely should have been "unfree"!) Slowly but surely newspeak is gaining usage...
Perfect composition and timing on this one, Mark.
