About This picture gave me a lot of trouble, particularly because of my poor technique. It's a church in the Ice Hotel in Sweden, the whole interior is made of snow and ice with the backwall a translucid block of ice that gave an intense glare. Mettering the correct light was a nightmare. I took about 15 pictures and this is the best I could come up with. If I shot from the side, the contrast would be too much. I have read some articles afterwards as to what I could've done, but any practial experience would be appreciated it.

Regular negative film ISO 100, +1/3 f-stop EV.

What an excellent shot....through trial and error you managed to have succeeded. I think the style of frame only enhances the image as it too looks like a block of ice...well done and thanks for your comments so far.

Cheers

Facinating picture, I have heard of this hotel and I can see where you would have some trouble with exposure. I think you did pretty well considering all of the glare from light colors. Thank's for the view of this place. Alison

-- Saludos, R.

Alan, you are so absolutely right, I was there before digital had today's level of resolution. I just recently join the modern era :) :) Thanks for taking a look at my work -- R.

thanks for your comment Andree, it is an interesting place for sure. The interior is onlybetween -5 and -3 Celsius; sounds cold, but not really when outside is a LOT colder :) It's a real production and fancy place now, worthwhile the journey :)

Very nice, I think this exposure is good. Here is where a nice digital camera would have saved you some shots though.
