Bret, Correct, excellent details. One way to maybe bring the bird out more in your image, would have been to increase your aperture, say to around 3.5, this will limit your depth of field, leaving the trees and branches in the background unfocused. Composition is fine, maybe seeing as it is looking to the left then, maybe you could have placed it more on the right of your frame, giving the photo the effect that the bird is looking in that direction. A very good capture of a bird that I have never even seen, the tree shots can be very hard as I feel that they make it very busy around the subject. But all in all a very good shot. Lee
