As I see more of your images John I have a strong connection to a book I read a number of years ago. Don't know why, but it's on a subconscious level, like a smell that takes you back to your childhood.

I was there early this summer... the light hits that old copper roof so beautifully. I couldn't figure out how to capture what I saw in my mind. You did. Lovely work.

john - i simply love your pinhole work. These photos have such a wonderful sense of freshness & candidness & yet your experienced eye & knowledge of composition, framing, subject matter, etc. are all there to support your pieces, but in such a subtle way. I think this is a lot of what makes your work so impressive - it's so wonderfully unique & yet still so accessible. Beautifully done & it's just great to see you featured again on the homepage.
