I like the angle. I don't know if it would have been better had you been more directly behind the flower (or even if such an angle was possible. I think one has to be a part-time contortionist to take macros of flowers sometimes).
I love the glow of the petals and the diagonal line of the stem at the top. The timing of the photo is great, with the water drop juuuuust about to fall off.

Russell, I noticed this flower after I watered the lawn, late in the evening. The sun was shining directly into the flower, everything around it was in the shade. I thought it looked unusual. Thanks for your comment. You have some very nice flower photos also.

The angle from which you've shot this blossom makes it hard for me to tell exactly what I'm looking at. But the zowie colors make me keep looking anyway. It's almost an abstract.
