This image almost brought tears to my eyes Karen. I guess most women start out as little girls dreaming of ponies and soft noses... Aside from the emotional impact (obviously super in my view) the composition is excellent - I love the curves in her back and arm and in the pony's forehead and neck, the beautiful soft eye just off center and the perfect tight crop. A wonderful photograph.

Karen; as I've noted before, I'm not really much of a horse person, but I must say this is really a beautiful photograph of a wonderfully expressive moment. Both the little girl (your daughter?) and the little horse have such great "body language"-- a tender and precious moment-- well done!

Good to see you're uploading again. Great shot, this! Looks like a budding cowgirl making friends with her first horse. Beautifully rich and saturated colours combined with a real touch of tenderness in the capture.
