A gorgeous turquoise lagoon backed by snow clad mountains is pretty much my idea of photographic nirvana but give me a chance to exploit a bit of moodiness and I will jump at the opportunity. This was taken about two minutes before being lashed by gravel sized chips of ice in a hail storm of epic proportions and that darkening of the sky is chiefly responsible for the luminosity of that turquoise glowing water.
