Hi Ian, yes RAW is great for preserving details. I do all of my conversions in the Canon Digital Professional program that comes free with the camera. I convert to tiff then do any extra work in CS3. I also used the Topaz filter to bring out the definition and increase dynamic range. I just make sure not to overdo it. If it looks too much I use the Fade tool in the Edit menu.:)

Great Seascape, Ann!!
I see you used RAW, my camera(20D) and my aging PC sadly don't like RAW. Will need to upgrade sometime soon anyway.
I thought it was a HDR shot at first. But it looks like RAW is great for Post ediiting, yes?
