About The newly reopened Museum of Modern Art is perhaps itself as much of an attraction as the exhibits it houses.

As usual, serious critiques are welcome.

Thank you so much, Ray. The second version was actually reinstated before I read this comment. I like to check how my uploaded images look in different browsers etc., and in my haste I managed to delete it. Anyway, it's back now along with your much appreciated comment.

Hi there AJ....I had just finished my comment on your wonderful bookmark version of this shot when you withdrew it. That is sad, for I felt that the new format made a greater impact than this one. For what it's worth my friend, I loved that bookmark. My very best wishes to you as always......Ray

wow very NIce AJ, I like the perspective much more then just the classic staircase shot! I would not touch the upper area as it adds perspective to the scene.....

Thanks Nigel - this place is worth a visit for the architecture alone!

The empty space at the top provides a counter-balance to the stairs, Steven. Removing or reducing this space would change that balance.

A very well spotted photographic opportunity my good friend.
It looks just like a piece of modern art in itself and would look great reproduced onto canvas and hung on my wall. I particularly like the half person for if you had two complete people negotiating the stairs it would have lost some of it's great impact IMO. Well done to you AJ, the toning is superb. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Thanks Steve. I did wonder about the lower figure and I have other shots, but I decided that this version implied that there was more life behind the wall...

Like this a lot. I even like that the lower figure is not entirely in the "slot". It contributes to the "fleeting vision" idea.

Good point, Harry. But if I had gone up higher you would see lights and the ceiling which I think would detract from the overall simplicity.

Many thanks for your visit,
AJ

Good story built in the image. Wondering why you left it open at the upside. Great image 7/7
