There's a tremendous amount of history in this image, AJ. You don't often see that. I love seeing the Broadway/Fifth Ave cross over at the Flat Iron Building and the Brooklyn and Verrazano Bridges in the background, plus the New York Bay with the Liberty and Ellis Islands.
And you got the lighting just right at the perfect time of day.
Regards, Bill
I think I would lose the frame and make the image larger to give it a panoramic effect....awesome!

Very nice lights, especially those which make the lines, it looks great. And the colours of the sky make the nice mood. Well done!!! Ania

Many thanks, Nicole. I waited for a clear day and timed my visit carefully to get an hour either side of sunset.

Many thanks for your comment, Ray. The D300 does indeed seem to be able to catch a wonderful depth and range of tones. I also find that I can push the ISO up quite a way before noise becomes an issue - handy in this shot as my tripod had been confiscated by security at the entrance.
With best wishes for the New Year, AJ

This, of course, has to be a city shot in full colour and falls into the catagory of exceptions. The depth you have captured is wonderful AJ and I love the spectacle of dusk slowly creeping from the left over to the right, fabulous. I love too the pastel like tones of the far horizon and the miriad of lights so clearly defined throughout. Well done to you my friend, a lovely piece of near night photography. All the very best.....Ray
